Dave Richards Annual Tin Man Cup

In its second year this annual soccer match is well established as a terrific fundraising event held in honour of burns patient Dave Richards. The event started with members of the Warnbro Soccer Club and has now gained momentum with players from Port Kennedy and other surrounding Clubs.

Held at Larkhhill Sport Complex, this annual soccer match brings together families and friends of Dave and Janet Richards for a great game of soccer followed by post-match celebrations. Together this soccer community has raised a fantastic $4,000 for burns research.

It is inspiring when the community comes together to celebrate a friend and support a cause. Thank you to all the individuals and businesses who donated raffle prizes, everyone who made a donation and all the friends and family who came along. Special thanks to Paul and Karen Reilly, Mad Max and her team at the canteen, Jenifer Reilly for the advertising, Dave for the racing stationery and the Larkhill Hockey and Softball Association.

And the winning team - Big Reds Team lifted the Tin man Cup beating last year’s winners Daz’s team 2-1. And so begins some healthy rivalry for the 2018 match.
