Surge Fitness Beach Bootcamp

An incredible effort was made by Carmen Sauzier and her team at Surge Fitness, pulling together a Beach Bootcamp to support the fundraising efforts of their fellow gym member Siobhan Goodwin. Dynamic duo Siobhan and Tiffany, both from the Burns Service of WA, recently completed the 2018 Rottnest Channel Swim as team – Twenty to Cool – in a terrific time of 6 hours 6 minutes.

The Beach Bootcamp was held at Mullaloo Beach with over 100 buff participants completing a physical challenge course on a gorgeous Saturday morning. We would like to say a huge thank you to Carmen from Surge Fitness and her amazing trainers who volunteered to run the event, Big Mouth Productions, Elixir Café and Rough Idea Studio who collectively organised a fantastic event with all proceeds supporting the girls fundraising efforts.

Overall, Tiffany and Siobhan raised a whopping $11,000 for burns research and completed their personal duo swim challenge. They are legends in our eyes, particularly from the team here who are terrified of the shark infested waters between Cottesloe and our favourite island Rottnest!

Well done and thank you to all who participated in the Surge Fitness Bootcamp, those who donated to the Twenty to Cool team and Tiffany and Siobhan’s support crew on the day.
