Earlier this month, Fiona was invited to speak at the May Perth Ladies Luncheon event hosted at the gorgeous South Perth Yacht Club.
With over 147 guests in attendance, the room was filled with collective energy and enthusiasm. Fiona shared an intimate glimpse into her personal story and what led her to become a world-leading burns specialist and researcher, all while raising six children! During question time, Fiona reflected on the Bali Bombings and the role of spray-on-skin in aiding the survivor's recovery; she was enthralled to be asked about what is next in burn care and shared how our research team are embracing technology to innovate and bring science to the bedside.
It was such a pleasure to attend the Ladies Luncheon event, and it was truly heartwarming to see everyone at the end stand up and applaud. We want to extend our thanks to everyone for believing in and supporting our mission, especially those who made a kind donation to support our research efforts and purchased a copy of Fiona's biography, Under Her Skin.
