Fundraising at School or Community Group
Create your own fundraising event or activity at your school and you can help us to continue its vision of scarless healing for all those who suffer from burn injury.
There are lots of fun and imaginative ways that you can encourage participation while making a difference and raising much-needed funds. Have a cake stall at your school fete, raise money from your swim-a-thon or other sporting event.
Some other ways community groups have raised money include organising concerts, knitting circles, fashion parades and auctions.
New initiatives include:
1. SOFTIS Tissues - a terrific fundraising model where you can raise money for the Paediatric Burns Unit at Perth Children's Hospital, and also for your School or Community Group. Click here for more information and to read Thomas' Story - the inspiration behind this concept.
2. Community Pod Coffee - is a terrific social enterprise model that allows you to buy a common household or office item and support a charity. $0.10 cents from every biodegradable pod or $3.00 from every bag of coffee beans goes to the Fiona Wood Foundation.
See attached infographic for the Community Pod process that you can feature in your school newsletter, or your school can purchase directly for your staffroom. By simply sharing the message to your school networks we can all make a difference with a commodity that all households and workplaces already buy.
