South32 Rottnest Channel Swim 2024

If the thought of abseiling down 130 meters from the top of Perth’s tallest building wasn’t your idea of fun, then why not join us to make a splash at the South32 Rottnest Channel Swim 2024?

The South32 Rottnest Channel Swim 2024 is here; this iconic 19.7km open-water swim takes you from the picturesque Cottesloe Beach to the breathtaking Rottnest Island (Wadjemup). Held annually in February, it's a sell-out event that attracts over 12,000 people to Rottnest Island, making it one of the island's busiest and most exhilarating days of the year.

But it's not just about the swim; it's about making waves for causes that truly matter! By participating and supporting the Fiona Wood Foundation, you're contributing directly to groundbreaking burn research and prevention education initiatives that help to improve the lives of burn patients now and in the future.

Megan Basioli, a Bali burns survivor, made a remarkable impact on our cause by participating in the South32 Rottnest Channel Swim. Her incredible efforts raised over $20,000! Speaking to PerthNow, Megan shared how important it was to her to step out of her comfort zone and take on new challenges in her recovery.

“By getting out there and making myself uncomfortable and seeing I can do hard things, it made me feel so much better. Especially doing the Rottnest swim and being able to fundraise for the Fiona Wood Foundation. It was my own little therapeutic journey.”

Her dedication is a shining testament to what individuals like you can achieve when you dive into Rottnest Channel Swim with purpose!

As we gear up for the registration process for the South32 Rottnest Channel Swim 2024, we're inspired by stories like Megan's, reminding us of the incredible impact one person can make in supporting burn survivors. With your participation and contributions, we aim to continue our mission of improving the lives of those affected by burns, driving research, and enhancing prevention education. Join us on the 24th of February 2024 for a day filled with purpose, fun, and the thrill of making a real difference!
