We are thrilled to share that Dr. Chris Lewis has been awarded the "Best Research Oral Presentation" award at the 2023 Australian & New Zealand Burn Association's Annual Scientific Meeting (ANZBA ASM).
The ANZBA ASM, renowned as a leading event in the burn care community, serves as a nexus for professionals to exchange knowledge, showcase research findings, and elevate practices in burn injury management, rehabilitation, and research.
Chris’s presentation, titled "Carbon dioxide laser treatment of burn-related scarring: Results of the ELIPSE (Early Laser Intervention Promotes Scar Evolution) prospective randomised controlled trial," delved into a research study conducted by himself and fellow collaborators on investigating the impact of ablative fractional carbon dioxide laser (AFCO₂L) on patient reported outcomes measures, dermal architecture and gene transcription in early burn scars.
This recognition affirms the critical importance and potential impact of continuous research and innovation in improving the lives of burn victims. Congratulations Chris!
